Most mortgage tech companies announce new features in quarterly releases. But we’re not most mortgage tech companies. So we wondered: what if we could go from idea to product in 72 hours?
That’s what sparked the idea for our Madrid hackathon. So this month, we brought our product and engineering teams to Spain with a bold challenge: build new AI features at unprecedented speed. We broke into teams, to build four different AI capabilities, with one goal—deliver real, usable MVPs our customers could get their hands on fast.
AI-Powered Writing Assistant
Writing client emails takes time. Updates about loan processing, document requests, approval notifications - most of it follows similar patterns but they require personal touches.
So we integrated AI directly into our email and text editor. Now our users can type simple prompts like "tell client their loan was approved" and get complete, professional emails. The system also suggests improvements while writing and can adjust tone on request.
Smart CRM Search
Finding information in a CRM shouldn't require perfect keyword matching. If you remember discussing something with a client but can't recall the exact terms used, traditional search fails you.
Our solution understands context. Ask "What did John say about his employment?" and get relevant excerpts from all communications. The search works with natural language, not just exact matches.
AI-Powered Custom Automation Builder
Building automation workflows typically requires understanding triggers, conditions, and logic flows. We simplified this completely.
Describe the automation you want in normal language to an AI chatbot: "Follow up with Zillow leads who haven't responded in 5 days." The bot then translates this into a custom automation, with emails, text messages, relevant messaging, task reminders, delays and more.
AI Agent: Sentiment Analysis
Every response to automated emails gets analyzed for emotional tone. Frustrated clients get flagged for personal attention. Positive responses get flagged for referral requests. The sentiment data integrates with contact profiles for better relationship management.
